Final demonstration
For our final demo we are going to show all the stuff that we have working, that includes Web server, SSH Server, Web Page, NAS(share and iSCSI), DNS Server.
MySQL
According to the work with MySQL databases I am sorry to announce that we`re not ready to show how are we going to use it, I lost a significant amount of time tryin' to fix the VirtualBox screen resolution (it does not allow greater than 800x600), reading stupid tutorials on the Internet that don`t work.. doh. The problem was that some of the windows I needed were bigger and I couldn`t see most of the screens, until I found that there are simple VBox Guest Additions. So far I have a MySQL server and a database, but I still need to find out about tables and how exactly to use MySQL for the right purposes (it`s only my first time working with it).

Sniffer
What do you know Pfsense supports package sniffing so that means that the CISO guy is very happy that he knows what the employees are doing and what online games they are playing..... well not exactly everybody can access the outside world only on port: 80 the other ports are blocked so CISO wins again :D
HTTPS Everywhere
We are pleased to announce that all our GUI of Openfiler and Pfsense can be accessed only on HTTPS so that means i can safely use the GUI :D
The NAS
So far it was interesting to work with openfiler and after a few reinstalls and bad configuration we have the file share and iscsi working so that it's pretty cool.
I hate to say but i didn't manage to make authenthication for the nas, but al leats i managed to restrict it to only one ip and here is what i tried:
Plan A:Discovery autthenthication.... not working
Plan B:CHAP authenthication.....not working
Plan C:never mind...
Also with the LDAP i manage to make it run and when i try to connect to the folder it asks me for the username and password so far so good.....and guess what.....it doesn't recognise the username and/or password i still need to figure which.
Plan B:other tipe of authenthication......not enough time so for the moment i need to stick with the ip(i am not pleased with that)

Continuing with the work
As you already know one of our big tasks was to create a NAS. So far we have been able to share directories, but we still need to make it possible to share partitions (Ionut will be the member working on that).
Sarunas is working on the Apache server and following DNS.
Jan is doing 'Wireshark'-ing.
Tomislav will work with databases and MySQL.

Webpage
Pheew, done with the company`s webpage. It can be accessed from our server (check the prevous post for coordinatŠµs).
Thumbs up!
HTML
As you already know I am working on a webpage for our virtual company.
Well, due to the fact that I haven`t done this in a significant period of time I need a quick reminder of the basics of html writing in Notepad (nice, eh). So I`m turning to my dear old friend "Uncle" Google for some commands.

The design
As you can see, we removed one of the routers we intended to use (we decided there is no need for a more complicated design). And instead of SAN (as we intended) we are now using NAS (Network-attached storage).
* here we ought to thank our teacher for clearing this (the NAS thingy) to us, so ->
THANK YOU!
Looking at the different variations
After taking in mind the teachers suggestion we discribed in a previous post and some other opportunities we saw of improving the security of the network we tried making this project with the help of two routers (as you can see of the work we split up the first week -> the previous post).
But that still wasn`t the latest design.

-> to be continued
Happy New Year
Well, we`re back with improved skills and new strength after a long deserved vacation.
HI ALL!
